Parent Coffee - Internet Safety 3-5

How do we keep students safe while still allowing them access to the amazing tools available in 2016?

Today I led a Parent Coffee about Internet (and Technology) Safety geared toward the parents of students in grade 3-5. This was the second in a series, building on last weeks presentation geared toward grades K-2.

Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend, we had a great conversation. Attending in person is not always possible, so to ensure the entire community has access to the conversation I am posting the presentation for all to share and use...

All links in the presentation are clickable and will take you to the related website:

If you missed either the K-2 session or the 3-5 session I hope the posted presentations will help to give you a sense of what we covered. While the K-2 and 3-5 sessions talked about different aspects, due to student age, a lot of the concepts and resources are similar; conversations are key, be a guide, and let your child show you the internet through their eyes.

Reach out anytime with any follow-up questions for for continued advice...
